What to See in Ibiza in 3 Days: A Complete Route to Discover the Island

Ibiza is much more than just parties. It represents summer, holidays, and the Mediterranean island lifestyle of gastronomy and relaxation.
In just a few days, you can fall in love with its coves, whitewashed villages, sunsets, and historic corners. That’s why we’ve created a 3-day itinerary with morning, afternoon, and evening plans so you don’t miss a thing.

Day 1: Ibiza Town and Surroundings

Spend your first day sightseeing and relaxing on the beach, enjoy dinner at the port, and end the night at one of the island’s iconic clubs.

Morning: Dalt Vila and the Historic Center

Start your trip in Ibiza Town by visiting Dalt Vila, the walled old town and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll through its cobbled streets and climb up to the Cathedral of Santa Maria. You can visit the castle and enjoy views of the port from the top of the walls. We recommend going early to avoid heat and crowds.

Afternoon: Beach and Relaxation at Ses Salines or Es Cavallet

After exploring the old town, it’s time to relax. Head to the coast and enjoy the beaches. Ses Salines and Es Cavallet are two of the most popular, with lively beach bars, fine sand, and crystal-clear waters. Perfect for unwinding after your morning walk.
You can have lunch at Jockey Club (Ses Salines) or Chiringay (Es Cavallet) if you’re in the mood for seaside dining.

Evening: Dinner at the Port and Drinks at Pacha

After a long day in the sun, head back to your accommodation for a shower. If you still have energy, the night isn’t over yet. Go out for dinner at the port, where you’ll find plenty of restaurants with sea views. End the day with a drink at the iconic Pacha Ibiza.

Day 2: Discover Ibiza’s Coves

Dedicate your second day to exploring the island’s natural side: its best coves.

Morning: Cala Salada and Cala Saladeta

Cala salada y Cala Saladeta

Head west early in the morning to spend time at Cala Salada and Cala Saladeta. These coves feature turquoise waters and pine-covered surroundings, making them some of the island’s most beautiful. If you’re driving, arrive early as parking fills up quickly in high season. You can also take a ferry from San Antonio.

Afternoon: Cala Conta and a Walk Through Santa Eulària

After your morning in the sun, continue your 3-day itinerary with another must-see beach: Cala Conta (also known as Platges de Comte). Swim, grab a drink at Sunset Ashram, and relax before continuing your beach tour.
Make a stop in Santa Eulària des Riu, a peaceful coastal town with a lovely promenade. If you have time, visit its fortified church or explore a local art gallery.

Evening: Sunset at Café del Mar and Café Mambo

As the sun begins to set, head to San Antonio to witness one of Ibiza’s most famous sunsets from Café del Mar or Café Mambo. It’s a true island ritual: chill music, cocktails, and the sun disappearing on the horizon.
If you prefer a more intimate setting, go to Cala Gracioneta and dine at its beach bar with sea views.

Day 3: Formentera, Hippie Market, and Farewell by the Sea

If you’re up for a different kind of escape, we suggest a quick visit to Formentera, plus some relaxing experiences like a hippie market and a final dinner by the sea.

Morning: Day Trip to Formentera

Excursión a Formentera

Start your last day by taking a ferry from Ibiza Town to Formentera (about 35 minutes). Once there, rent a bike or scooter to explore the island. Beaches like Ses Illetes or Cala Saona are spectacular, with white sand and clear waters.

Afternoon: Las Dalias Hippie Market

After lunch, return to Ibiza and visit the Las Dalias hippie market in San Carlos, if it matches your travel day (usually open Wednesdays and Saturdays). It’s a unique place to buy local crafts, boho clothing, handmade jewelry, and enjoy street food.

Evening: Farewell Dinner by the Sea

End your trip with a peaceful dinner by the sea or a final stroll through Ibiza Town’s port. You can head to Torre Ibiza to watch the sunset from a cliff. If you reach Sa Caleta, you can dine at a Mediterranean restaurant near Phoenician ruins. Or simply enjoy dinner at the port for a livelier atmosphere.

Travel Tips for Ibiza

- Getting Around: Public transport is available (frequent buses in summer), but renting a car or scooter gives you more freedom to explore hidden coves and remote areas.
- Sun Protection: Ibiza’s sun can be intense. Always carry sunscreen, sunglasses, and a water bottle.
- Best Time to Visit: May to September is high season, with lively vibes and warm temperatures. June and September are less crowded than July and August.
- Boat Excursions: If you have extra time, consider a catamaran tour to discover hidden coves from the sea.
- Recommended Areas to Stay: For tranquility, choose Santa Eulària. For nightlife, stay in Ibiza Town or San Antonio.

Although it’s not always necessary, you can organize your itinerary using tools like Google Maps by marking your stops for each day. If you're driving, the routes between coves and villages are easy to follow, with well-signposted roads.

While 3 days may seem short, this itinerary gives you a complete overview of the best Ibiza has to offer: culture, beaches, villages, and local life. A perfect escape to disconnect and enjoy the Mediterranean.
