Mercado Ki Huic

This is the most iconic craft market in Cancun, where local artists display their ceramic pieces, hammocks, traditional hand-made fabrics or fine gold and silver jewelry in outdoor stalls. Its strategic location, on Avenida Tulum, very close to the hotel area, makes it the perfect place to take a short walk and buy an original piece as a souvenir, in a quiet and pleasant atmosphere.

Mercado 23

If you’re looking to immerse yourself fully in local folklore, Mercado 23 is the place you’re looking for. The most characteristic thing of this place is the intoxicating aromas of its stalls, which you can smell even before arriving: marigold flowers, medicinal herbs, fresh fruit and vegetables, coffee and cocoa, among other things. As well as fresh food, you’ll find souvenirs at very reasonable prices.

Kukulcán Plaza

Luxury and sophistication also have a place in the Costa Mujeres shopping area. This extraordinary and exclusive shopping mall has a section called Luxury Avenue, where you can find all the main national and international brands of clothing, jewellery and art, such as Cartier, Carolina Herrera or Fendi. It also offers a wide selection of high-end restaurants, as well as areas for contemporary art exhibitions to enjoy a different day. There is a bus that will take you there directly from Avenida Xcaret.

Mercado 28

El Mercado 28 is located in Cancun city center. A colorful and vibrant space with an incredible atmosphere where you can buy any type of souvenir, from local crafts to handmade rugs or jewelry, all at a very reasonable price. The bazaar also has food and drink stalls, so you can live an authentic shopping experience in the purest Mexican style.

Mercado Coral Negro

El Mercado Coral Negro will delight art lovers. Located in the heart of the hotel district (Punta Cancun) it specializes in jewellery and traditional sculptures of alebrije. You can also get an authentic charro outfit and top quality Mexican hats. If you want to take home a more lasting souvenir, you’ll even find good tattoo artists among the stalls here, as well as shops specializing in piercings.
