At Palladium Hotel Group, we are rolling out a raft of measures to minimize environmental impact, combat climate change, and promote sustainable development.
To achieve this, we promote various initiatives, involving guests, employees, suppliers, and the local community.
The Guidelines for Responsible Tourism
At Palladium Hotel Group, we invite our guests to be tourists who make a difference. For this reason, we have created a series of Guidelines for Responsible Tourism. A document outlining 10 principles to help people travel sustainably. Through Palladium Cares, we encourage visitors to see their trip as an opportunity to make a social and environmental impact on the area where they are staying.

Circularity initiatives
At Palladium Hotel Group, we promote initiatives that encourage a more efficient use of resources throughout our value chain, progressively moving toward a circular model. We prioritize waste reduction, recycling, and material reuse, with a focus on continuous improvement and real impact on the environment.
We’re already rolling out real-world initiatives in various destinations, such as:
- · Collaboration with Oreka for the donation of surplus food, avoiding waste and supporting social organizations.
- · The Soap for Hope project, together with Diversey, which transforms used soap into new hygiene products so that different social entities can commercialize them.
- · Linens for Life, focused on reusing textiles and giving them a second life by donating them to local associations.
- · Composting systems in different hotels, highlighting the Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife model in partnership with agricultural cooperatives to make use of organic waste..
- · An internal carpooling program that promotes more sustainable mobility among our teams.
Although we still have a long way to go, these actions allow us to lay the groundwork for a responsible transition to a circular economy, adapted to the real capabilities of our operations and local contexts.
Agricultural Production Center of Brazil
Through this project, we collaborate with local communities and our guests in protecting and caring for the environment. As an integral part of our initiative, we provide training to the local community in the sustainable production of vegetables and agricultural produce. This action not only seeks to boost sales of local crops, but also to promote a sustainable economy that benefits everyone.
Energy efficiency and emissions reduction
We are striving to achieve a more sustainable model of tourism through the use of renewable energies and technologies that improve energy efficiency. Initiatives like installing solar power in our hotels or taking part in global movements such as Earth Hour reflect this commitment.
Management of water resources
At PHG, we work to reduce the water impact of our operations through savings measures, raising awareness, and implementing technologies adapted to each setting. In key destinations, we promote water reuse, wastewater treatment, and consumption control, especially in areas where water is scarce.

Protection of biodiversity
We are committed to conserving ecosystems in the destinations where we operate, supporting local projects, and promoting practices that respect nature. This includes initiatives like our turtle camps, lizard shelters in Ibiza, and our collaboration with National Geographic Creative Works, supporting the initiative of Manu San Félix, a marine biologist and photographer for National Geographic, to raise awareness about the need to protect our seas and oceans.
Ten Guiding Principles for Environmental Practices:
We abide by 10 fundamental principles that guide our environmental actions in all our hotels. These principles capture our key priorities in sustainability and help align the efforts of each hotel with our global goals of respecting the planet.
- 1. Reduction of single-use plastics.
- 2. Rational and sustainable water use.
- 3. Increasing accuracy in the measurement of our Carbon Footprint.
- 4. Responsible energy use.
- 5. Advancing digital transformation.
- 6. Circular economy initiatives.
- 7. Reducing waste generation.
- 8. Recycling and reuse of waste.
- 9. Protection of biodiversity.
- 10. Sustainable purchasing and supplier management.
