  GLOBAL INITIATIVE ON TOURISM AND PLASTICS ENVIRONMENT

  We have signed the Global Tourism Plastics Initiative, which is promoted by the United Nations Environment Program and the World Tourism Organization, in collaboration with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation.

  FLORA AND FAUNA MONITORING ENVIRONMENT

  In Costa Mujeres, flora and fauna monitoring is carried out every year throughout the property by external specialists, in order to report on the environmental conditions of the ecosystem. The distribution and abundance of various animal and plant species are used as indicators.

  SEA GRASS MONITORING ENVIRONMENT

  We conduct annual monitoring of the ecological health of the sea grasses, a wide strip of underwater vegetation located off Costa Mujeres, which provides a habitat for many marine species and also food for turtles that come to the area to mate.

  ALMOND TREE PLANTATION AT HARD ROCK HOTEL IBIZA ENVIRONMENT

  One of Hard Rock International's signature slogans is "Save The Planet". The company has a policy of environmental friendliness and awareness among its guests. Through their philanthropy programs and care for the planet, the hotels carry out a series of actions, such as the planting of an almond tree by Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza in 2021.

  EARTH HOUR ENVIRONMENT

  Initiated by the WWF and its partners as a symbolic lights-out event in Sydney in 2007, EARTH Hour is now one of the world's largest popular environmental movements. Held every year on the last Saturday in March, Earth Hour involves millions of people in more than 190 countries and territories, who turn off their lights to show their support for our planet. Several of the group's hotels participate annually in this activity to raise awareness of sustainability and environmental issues.

  CONSERVATION AND RELEASE OF SEA TURTLES ENVIRONMENT

  Jamaica's sea turtles and their waters are protected by the "Wildlife Protection Act" of 1972. From May to December, sea turtles come ashore to lay their eggs, especially at Las Brisas beach. During this season, we organize activities to identify and preserve these nests and facilitate the release of these animals.

  FAUNA SHELTER ENVIRONMENT

  At Grand Palladium Vallarta Resort & Spa, we hold a special permit through which we receive wildlife in our shelter. We mainly take in specimens that cannot be rehabilitated and sent back to their natural habitat, that have been rescued, or that have a physical impediment that makes them more vulnerable to other animals or everyday situations. We respond to the need to conserve biodiversity, with the general objective of conserving the natural environment, applying methods and techniques for sustainable use of wildlife and its habitat.

  TURTLE CAMP ENVIRONMENT

  Since 2012, we have managed the operation and set up of a turtle camp at Grand Palladium Kantenah Resort & Spa during the nesting season. The operation of the turtle camp involves spawning inspection and monitoring, and subsequent relocation out of the reach of predators.

  MANGROVE MONITORING ENVIRONMENT

  The conservation of the biodiversity of the various ecosystems present in our hotels in the Riviera Maya is a primary objective, which is why we implement a monitoring program for the mangrove forest on property, to ensure its preservation.

  ELECTRIC VEHICLE RECHARGING POINTS ENVIRONMENT

  We have signed an agreement with Endesa X, a leading company in energy services and electric mobility solutions, to promote electric mobility in our country. Thanks to this collaboration, Endesa X will initially install some 25 electric vehicle chargers in 13 of the chain's hotels in Ibiza, Menorca, Tenerife, Andalusia, Catalonia, and Madrid.
