Vocational Training Center Jamaica

At Palladium Hotel Group, we are proud to share our commitment to the development and prosperity of seven different communities in Jamaica. Through the creation of our Vocational Training Centers, we are paving the way for talented individuals to train and find employment opportunities, contributing to positive change in the fight against unemployment and poverty.  

Main objetives

In collaboration with the Municipality of Hanover and Heart NSTA, the leading provider of technical vocational education and training in Jamaica, we have established an impactful tripartite agreement. This agreement has enabled us to secure seven spaces in various communities in the Municipality of Hanover. In addition, we have the invaluable commitment of a team of teachers backed by certifications from the prestigious national academic organization Heart NSTA.

Our commitent is underway

In November 2023, we formalized this commitment with the signing of the agreement and the team of volunteers at Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa has demonstrated exceptional commitment by carrying out renovations and adaptations to these spaces.  

Currently, three of the seven designated spaces are already fully operational, marking a significant milestone in our journey to empower local communities. Meanwhile, training is already underway for more than 50 people in key hospitality professions, such as housekeeper, bar waiter and restaurant waiter. 

We want to emphasize that our goal is to open doors for students to find employment in any company in the region, be it a hotel or any other sector. Our commitment is to give them the tools to get a good job that guarantees them the security and autonomy they need.
