PALLADIUM HOTEL GROUP OFFERS GUESTS FREE MEDICAL ASSISTANCE INSURANCE FOR THIS SEASON
Palladium Hotel Group will offer its guests free health care insurance for the duration of their stay at any of the group’s properties that are re-opening in Spain from the end of June. Created as part of Palladium Hotel Group’s commitment to take care of its guests at all times, the insurance is available to all guests – both those that book direct and through tour operators or travel agents.
Launching in collaboration with risk management company Materh, which has advised Palladium Hotel Group to contract a policy designed by InterMundial with the support of Europ Assistance, the new initiative will mean guests are protected against any unforeseen circumstances related to the current Covid-19 pandemic.
Guests staying at Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza Resort & Spa, Grand Palladium White Island Resort & Spa, Agroturismo Sa Talaia, Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza, Bless Hotel Ibiza, Palladium Hotel Costa del Sol and Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife will be insured for any incident directly related to Covid-19 that may appear during their stay. This includes covering expenses such as medical and hospital costs, transfers or stay extension.
The introduction of medical assistance insurance complements Palladium Hotel Group’s new health and safety protocol, which is being implemented in partnership with SGS – the global leader in inspection, verification, analysis and certification, to guarantee that its hotels continue to be safe environments.
It is an innovative product that we’re offering to each and every one of our guests completely free of charge in order to continue to take care of them during their holiday. Thanks to this, clients will have several services included for any incident directly related to the virus that may appear during their stay. Specifically, the coverage includes:
- - Medical expenses for any illness arising during the stay in the hotel up to € 3,000 and for Covid-19 infection up to € 100,000: these expenses include medical fees, medicines from the medical care provided, as well as hospitalization expenses and ambulance expenses requested by a doctor.
- - Medical transfer of patients: whenever the guest is unable to continue the trip due to the virus and needs to go to a hospital or return home, the transfer will be covered for various means of transport such as train, plane, helicopter or ambulance.
- - Emergency transfer to hospital: if a serious illness occurs that requires immediate assistance, this service will assume the transfer both to and from the hotel to the nearest hospital or clinic. This service would also include medical surveillance if necessary.
- - Extension of stay: in the event that the affected client does not have to be hospitalized and the doctor prescribes the need to stay in the hotel, the policy will cover the expenses derived from prolonging their stay and that of three of their companions up to a maximum of € 75 a day for 10 days. The companion fee coverage only applies to cases in which the infected person is hospitalized.
- - Sending a driver for medical reasons: if due to illness the guest is unable to drive his / her own vehicle, the client may request that a professional driver or another person drive their vehicle to their home.
- - Return of the companions: finally, clients can also feel completely reassured that, if any eventuality occurs, the insurance will cover any type of transfer of three of their companions to the affected person's hospitalization place or habitual residence. that would be done through the most convenient means of transportation.
A new, safer summer season
This new measure applies to the properties in Spain that Palladium Hotel Group plans to open from 26 June.
The first to open is Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza Resort & Spa, located on Ibiza’s Playa d’en Bossa, on 26 June. This will be followed by Grand Palladium White Island Resort & Spa, Agroturismo Sa Talaia, Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza and Bless Hotel Ibiza, which plan to open on 3, 8 and 10 July respectively.
These openings will be joined by Palladium Hotel Costa del Sol, in Benalmádena, Malaga, on 16 July, and Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife on 30 July.
In preparation for the start of the summer season, Palladium Hotel Group is creating various leisure, gastronomic and wellness experiences to ensure all guests enjoy a much-awaited holiday in some of Spain’s best destinations.
