The criteria used by Travelife assesses the Resorts’ management of environmental and social resources, including sustainability policies, power usage, disposal of solid waste, purchasing policies, selection of suppliers, relations with interest groups, training of employees, fair treatment and equal opportunity procedures, benefits for the community and vulnerable groups, fauna and flora conservation programs…
TUI Deutschland, one of the worldwide leading tour operators, launched the TUI Environmental Champion Award in 1996 to honor and reward contracted hotels pioneering in environmentally friendly and future-oriented hotel management. The TUI Environmental Champion award is the second most important and acclaimed recognition sought by hoteliers.
