Ten events linking water sports and maritime culture will take place between March 2 and 24 at the destination known as Mexico's Pacific Treasure.
La Cruz de Huanacaxtle with its innovative and modern Marina Riviera Nayarit, the Vallarta Yacht Club in Nuevo Vallarta and the beaches of Sayulita will be home to most of these events, which include seven races under the umbrella of the Regata Copa México Edición Olímpica, in addition to the 2012 edition of the San Diego-Vallarta Race, the Regata Bahía de Banderas and the Punta Sayulita Surf Classic.
The main event of the Nautical Extravaganza is without a doubt the Regata Copa México Olympic Edition where more than 400 vessels and close to 2,500 competitors from more than 25 countries will gather to present an amazing show.
These regattas will feature different circuit and distances for each of the following categories: Ocean Races, J24, Laser, 420, Kitesurf, Windsurf and Optimist.
