At the end of October, the warm waters of the Bahía coastline welcome hundreds of humpback whales that migrate from polar zones to the Equator to breed and give birth in the winter. During this period, it’s quite common to see these majestic mammals along the Brazilian northern coasts, right where the Grand Palladium Imbassaí Resort & Spa is located.
During this migratory route, the humpback whales offer a unique repertoire of spectacular air shows, including breach jumps where they throw two thirds or more of their bodies out of the water and splashing down on their backs. These acrobatic beasts also produce vocalizations that can last between 10 and 20 minutes. However, only males produce the long, loud, ethereal "songs" for which the species is famous.
Our Grand Palladium Resort in Bahia is the ideal option for nature lovers who want to enjoy this amazing spectacle. The complex is the first All Inclusive 5-star Resort that Palladium Hotels & Resorts has opened in Brazil, with more than 57,000 square meters. It features 654 Junior Suites, 6 restaurants with varied cuisines and great sports and entertainment facilities including swimming pools, courts, gymnasium, aerobics and Spa.
