Seville, a "movie set"city.

The city of Seville, with its beautiful scenery and great cultural references known all over the world, will welcome international and local movie stars during the seventh edition of the Seville European Film Festival 2010 on November 5-13. Thanks to the great success of the previous editions, the Festival has become a well-known brand within international cultural and film circuits. The Official Section of this Festival will present two international productions with renowned Spanish actors in the cast. British film ‘Mr. Nice’ by Bernard Rose, will feature Luis Tosar and Elsa Pataky, and the directorial debut of Yasmina Reza ‘Chicas,’ will have one of the top Spanish actresses in the cast: Carmen Maura. In addition, the Aragonese director Carlos Saura will premiere his latest work filmed in Seville, ‘Flamenco, Flamenco,’ on November 11 at the SEFF during a great gala event. During the Festival, the European Film Academy will also reveal the nominations for the European Film Awards in addition to featuring a great selection of the latest films that have come out of this year’s guest country: Holland. The Festival will also celebrate the 50th anniversary of the film ‘A Bout de Souffle’ by Jean-Luc Godard, winner of the Silver Bear for best director at the Berlin International Film Festival in 1960. One of the most distinguished and provocative British directors, Stephen Frears, will receive the International Honor Award during the seventh edition of the Seville Festival. This year, the list of winners will also include awards for best actor and actress, as well as best screenplay and photography. We’d also like to point out the course entitled ‘Carmen Global: un mito universal en permanente mutación’ (Global Carmen: A universal myth that’s in constant mutation) that will combine presentations and workshops with film screenings about the internationally-known cigarette girl and her mythical figure that is deeply-rooted in the city of Seville. If you’re planning to stay at the Ayre Hotel Sevilla during these dates, we’d like to invite you to enjoy this outstanding movie listing in exclusive.
