Ushuaïa makes Ibiza’s volleyball dreams come true

Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel has signed a sponsorship agreement with the CV Eivissa volleyball team for their debut in the Spanish Super League, the highest national division. The Ibiza team will now be called Ushuaïa Ibiza Voley during the 2012-13 season.

“Last night I dreamt that we were playing in the Super League. I woke up and realized it wasn’t a dream. We are actually playing in the Super League!” On September 12th, CV Eivissa’s President Javier Escandell made the official presentation of his team at the Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel. Mr. Escandell also stated that “the most important aspect is the structural support the Matutes Group has provided, bringing our costs down significantly.”

Our General Manager, Abel Matutes Prats, commented “When people talk about Ushuaïa, Eivissa always comes to mind. The fact that the team has our name will also help volleyball fans recognize where the team is from.”
