The Spanish telecommunications company chose Ayre Hotel Gran Vía as a showcase venue during the last edition of the Mobile World Congress. For the presentation of its new mobile technology, Telefónica installed a smart 4G network in the Hotel with advanced features, significantly improving mobile signal in the rooms and common areas and increasing the capacity to 400% even in areas with high traffic density.
After a year of research, Telefónica can now offer one of its most advanced technologies, ideal for hotels and business centers because it provides faster Internet access and downloading of files and documents.
Voice, data and multimedia services are now available any time and any place in the hotel, as well as a greater security protection for users. This technology also enables global connectivity through different networks thus preventing signal failures when users move around areas served by different networks.
In addition to the complimentary Wi-Fi Internet access that Ayre Hotels offers in all of its establishments, the Hotel now features a mobile network with speeds that are 10 times faster than those offered by the 3G network. These are amazing news for guests who come to the hotel on business trips or participate in meetings or events held at the hotel’s facilities.
