The beautiful songs of the humpback whales come to Bahia, Brazil.

At the end of October, the warm waters of the Bahía coastline welcome hundreds of humpback whales that migrate from polar zones to the Equator to breed and give birth in the winter. During this migratory route, the humpback whales offer a unique repertoire of spectacular air shows, including breach jumps where they throw two thirds or more of their bodies out of the water and splashing down on their backs. These acrobatic beasts also produce vocalizations that can last between 10 and 20 minutes. However, only males produce the long, loud, ethereal "songs" for which the species is famous.
