The Mallorca Rocks Hotel, which belongs to Fiesta Hotel Group, will kick off the final leg of its concert list for thsi summer with powerful performences that will top of a season full of success and good music. On this occasion it’s The Streets, accompanied by DJ Fresh and Rizzle Kicks who will give it all on September 6 starting at 8pm.
The Streets is composed of Mike Skinner, a rapper from Birmingham, UK and the latest revolution of the British urban music scene. Mike became obsessed with house music and UK garage music around 18 years old and a year later brought a sampler to Australia. The rhymes of Mike reflect sincere criticism towards early 21st century British society, a society he sees as violent, consumer-driven and focused entirely only leisure.
His first album, “Original Pirate Material,” become platinum in the UK. The following, “A grand don´t come for free” (2004), “Everything is borrowed” (2008) and “Computers and blues” (2011) only consolidated his unstoppable rise to the top.
After the rapper, DJ Fresh will also take the stage. His real name is Daniel Stien and he’s one of the most renowned DJs on the electronic music scene in England. He started very young playing the piano and it wasn’t long before his talent was discovered. Fresh is an authentic pioneer of new tendencies in terms of computer generated music.
The British pop duo formed in 2008 by Jordan "Rizzle" Stevens and Harley "Sylvester" Alexander-Sule, known as Rizzle Kicks, will then follow and will perform some of their hits such as “Prophet (Better Watch It)”, “Down With the Trumpets" or "Heart Skips a Beat" all of them number one in England.
