Everything is set for the 5th International Tuna and Marlin Fishing Tournament at Banderas Bay in the Nayarit Riviera, from July 14 – 16.
Many consider the Nayarit Riviera as one of the world’s most important fishing destinations because you can practice this sport all year long. Several species live in these waters, including wahoo, sailfish, mahi mahi, tuna, three species of marlin, flounder, swordfish and snapper, amongst others.
The record for the largest marlin ever caught was registered in this Tournament five years ago when Andrés Famanía Ortega captured one weighing more than 322 kilos.
