The Grand Palladium Resorts in Punta Cana finished up 2010 with a new series of awards in recognition to their hard efforts in offering guests a premium quality service. The General Manager of the Resorts, Mr. Raimundo Segarra Marí, was named Hotelier of the Year 2010 by the Hotel and Tourism Projects Association of Dominican Republic. This well-deserved distinction was given for his dedicated collaboration with the association’s projects, his outstanding social commitment to the community and his excellent disposition to working with other hotels in the area. The recognition also took into account all the new projects carried out in the Resorts, including the new Conventions Center, the recently inaugurated Chanterelle Restaurant, the refurbishing of El Bohío and The Royal Gourmet restaurants, the Baby Club initiative and the implementation of the Travel Club, amongst others. Thanks to these upgrades, as well as the quality services and facilities, other important tourism organizations in Canada have given new accolades to the Resorts. Transat Vacances, one of the most important tour operators in the country, has given the Grand Palladium Bávaro, Grand Palladium Palace and The Royal Suites Turquesa three HIP Awards within the Green Category. In addition, Monarc.ca, the website that offers Canadians independent reviews about hotels all over the world, has voted the Grand Palladium Bávaro Resort & Spa as the #1 hotel for couples and the #1 lodging in restaurants in the Punta Cana area.
