King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia of Spain visit the Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort & Spa and the Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa in Lucea, Jamaica.

On February 18th, King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia accompanied the Governor and his wife to the Reception for the “Spain-Jamaica Foundation,” in which Fiesta Hotel Group actively participates.  This foundation is formed by the Spanish businessmen and women that have invested in Jamaica and that not only contribute to the development of the country, but also offer scholarships and social aid to the Jamaica people.

During his speech, which was attended by well-known personalities from the island as well as members of the Matutes Family and personnel from the Grand Palladium Resort, his majesty King Juan Carlos highlighted the efforts and importance of these investments in Jamaica, as well as the opening of the “Hotel School,” which seeks to educate young Jamaicans in order for the island to be competitive with other touristic markets.
