As part of its policy of expansion, Ayre Hoteles has recently acquired Hotel Alfonso II in Oviedo. This charming hotel has 19 rooms. The new hotel adds to the chain’s range of accommodation in this Asturian city, where it already owns Ayre Hotel Ramiro I, a fully-refurbished hotel with 85 rooms. Ayre Hoteles now has a total of 7 hotels in the cities of Madrid (Ayre Gran Hotel Colón), Barcelona (Ayre Hotel Gran Vía and Ayre Hotel Caspe), Valencia (Ayre Hotel Astoria Palace), Oviedo (Ayre Hotel Ramiro I and Ayre Hotel Alfonso II) and Ibiza (Ayre Hotel Ocean Drive). This year it also plans to open its third hotel in Barcelona, a four-star establishment that will be located next to the Sagrada Familia cathedral. In line with the hotel chain’s policy to modernise its corporate image, it will also undertake refurbishments this year in the communal areas of Ayre Hotel Astoria Palace and Ayre Hotel Ramiro I.
