Barcelona

Barcelona has the character of a true Mediterranean city: dynamic, open, and inviting one to explore its hidden corners. Barcelona has a lifestyle that makes it unique and is a cosmopolitan city.   • Understanding the past to understand the future. Knowing where we came from, what we are. Understand and admire other cultures. Barcelona offers you the opportunity to travel thousands of years back in history in its museums dedicated to history, archeology and ethnology.
  • With the attractions and theme parks in Barcelona, fun is guaranteed. Remember this name: Tibidabo. Because this magic mountain houses an amusement park a full of surprises. And if you love animals, you’ll find more than seven thousand waiting for you in the Barcelona Zoo Parc de la Ciutadella. Dolphins clap, dance, jump and sing! Equally fascinating are the sharks. In the Aquarium you can observe them, along with many other species, walking in the underwater tunnel. Las Golondrinas are boats that will take you along the coast of Barcelona. Two large green parks can be found in Barcelona: Collserola Park offers 8,000 acres of protected area, while the Park of Montjuic is the hill that hides a wealth of gardens, including the Botanical Garden. The Laberint Park, Parque de Cervantes or the popular Parque de la Ciutadella retain the taste of the classical gardens. At the foot of Collserola charming parks dot the districts close to the mountain. The Mediterranean vegetation is the protagonist in the Parque de l'Oreneta, the Guineueta and the Peira Turó. Not far away, in the Gràcia district, the Park Güell demonstrates Gaudí´s influence.
  • The beaches of the Catalan capital, 4.5 km long, are characterized by fine golden sand, and for being wide and shallow. They constitute one of the major leisure spaces that are available to citizens and visitors to Barcelona. A few minutes from anywhere in the city thanks to the easy access by public transport and cycling, and equipped with all necessary equipment and services, these beaches welcome seven million people each year.
  • With the Olympics in 1992, the city was fitter than ever. And it still is, as seen in the international competitions that attract millions of people each year.  The city´s numerous facilities for golf, swimming and cycling make it a paradise for sports lovers.
