Valencia is the capital of the Community of Valencia and the Province of Valencia.  It is the third city in Spain due to its importance and population.  Situated along the Turia River, Valencia is also home to many important international commercial fairs, such as the Furniture Fair and the Automobile Fair, which take place in Spain’s biggest fair pavilion, the “Feria Valencia.”
Valencia, also known as the city of flowers, boasts numerous parks and gardens that can be found all over this green city.  The Turia Garden is situated in the old river run off.  When this river was re-routed, the space was used for a park and various infrastructures, such as the City of Arts and Sciences, designed by Santiago Calatrava, and sports facilities and game areas such as Gulliver Park.
This city is also rich in monuments and architectonic spaces of great interest, as it boasts more than fifty museums and exposition centres.
