Beach Polo auch 2011 wieder auf Ibiza

After the incredible success of Ibiza Beach Polo Cup 2010, Playa d’en Bossa is getting ready to welcome the tournament’s second edition which will be held on June 14-19. 
From its early beginnings, this event found the perfect place in Ibiza thanks to the island’s unique surroundings and excellent response. This edition will be stronger than ever with two tournaments being held simultaneously. The first tournament will bring together six men’s teams and the second one four women’s teams. This year, FHG’s team will be sponsored by the new Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel. Last year, the Sa Talaia Hotel Rural team won second place.
Top international polo athletes have already confirmed their participation in this royal sports event that is gathering more and more followers. Teams from diverse countries such as Argentina, United States, England, Germany, Portugal, Austria, Russia, Australia, Mexico and Brazil will be competing this year. We’re glad to announce that Adolfo Cambiaso, considered by many as the best player in the world, and even in history, will be present. Argentinean ex soccer champ turned polo player, Gabriel Batistuta, is coming back to the tournament. Players such as Juan José Brane, Ruki Baillieu, Calao de Melo, Gonzalo Azumendi, Hugo Barabucci and Martín Valent have also accepted the invitation to wear their team tees. In the female tournament, Marianela Castagnola, one of the world’s top players, will also be competing.    Celebrities and VIPs from all over the world will not miss this glamorous event either.
